aRT: Modular Rigging Tool
aRT: Modular Rigging Tool is a streamlined, user friendly rigging tool for Autodesk Maya.
With this tool you are free to build a rig for whatever you need. To do this you connect different modules together to form a blueprint. This blueprint can then be used to quickly generate your rig.
The rigging tool also comes complete with a set of additional tools which are made to enhance your rigging and animation workflow.
This currently includes tools to…
Quickly lock and unlock attributes.
Generate ribbons with controls.
Drive blendshapes with controls.
Update rig names manually, or match popular systems like Unreal, Unity and HumanIK.
Transfer attributes to offsetParentMatrix and back.
Universal IK/FK matching.
Animation transfer between skeletons and rigs.
More tools will be added, with some that are planned including -
Quickly adjust and edit animations to reverse, mirror and scale them.
An animation overlapping tool to quickly add secondary animation.
Check out the all the tools in action here - Rigging & Animation Tools Preview - before you buy.
Maya 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 are the only versions supported at this time.
Please be aware that these tools are created by a single person, in their spare time, and as such haven’t been tested by a wide user base so you may stumble on minor bugs or issues. If you do, please let me know and I will do my best to resolve them as soon as possible.
